We've searched and dug and found some great sites that you and your kids can enjoy.  Sites about safety, sites to help you with your homework and sites that are just plain fun!  

FEMA for Kids: Games, activities, and preparedness information designed just for kids. 

NetSmartzKids: A safe and fun website featuring activities and games sponsored by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

Kids.Gov: Contests, games, study tips and other information on the U.S. Government, all designed for kids from kindergarten to 8th grade. 

KidsCom.Com: Join a team, play with and against other kids, watch videos, share stories and more! 

KidsComJr.Com: Designed just for young children and preschoolers, with online coloring books, educational games, and fun activities. 

Sesame Street: Games, videos, music, activities for parents and children, TV listings, shopping and more. 

Sparky.Org: Games, activities, e-cards, cartoons, and seasonal activities featuring The Great Sparky, Fire Safety Dog. 

USFA for Kids: Activities and games to teach kids about smoke alarms, emergency plans and general fire safety. 

McGruff.Org: Games, advise, events, stories and a blog by McGruff, the Crime Dog himself!  Sponsored by the National Crime Prevention Council.

Citizen Corps - Youth Preparedness: A list of safe, fun websites for kids and a list of resources for parents and teachers. 

Garden Buildings Direct: Fire safety and resources for kids including fire prevention, fire dangers, and what to do if you're ever caught in a fire.

Hey, kids!  Do you like to collect things? 

Collecting things can be fun, AND you get to talk to people from all over the place.  Just like our new friend, Noah from Idaho! 

Noah collects police, fire and emergency patches.  He emailed us a request for a VPD patch and included this picture with his 950 patch collection.  He says, "I'm going for the world record!"  Thanks for the picture, Noah.  Good luck!
