The City of Vernonia, Oregon is seeking bids for the purpose of disposing of real property. These bids will be received by the City Administrator for the City of Vernonia at Vernonia City Hall, 1001 Bridge Street, Vernonia OR 97064 (City Hall) until 4pm on Tuesday , May 30, 2006.
The land is located within the City of Vernonia at 872 Weed Ave; tax lot # 4405-014-13800. The property is sold as is. Utilities have been to the property. SDCs may not be required should the owner build a single family dwelling. The City does not warrant, imply, conclude or have otherwise determined the build-ability of this property. The lot is approximately six thousand seven hundred square feet (6750 sq ft) more or less in size. This property is zoned General Residential (GR). This land was received by the City through a real property exchange from Columbia County. The City determined at the City Council meeting on March 6, 2006 to sell the property. The Council decided that best benefit for the community would be to have a home built upon the property, thereby increasing the tax base.
The minimum suggested bid is $37,000.00 (5% honored to licensed Oregon Realtors). Full payment, by cashiers check only, must be made within twenty (20) days after the Notice of Award has been given.
All submitted bids will be opened on May 30, 2006 at 4pm by the City Administrator (or her assigns) with a recommendation made to City Council at Regular Council meeting on Monday June 5, 2006.
