The mural in the entryway of the library was created by youngsters in a "Hands on Art" project following the flood of 1996 as a means of expressing feelings and memories of that event. The artwork in the main part of the mural was created on paper & transferred to tiles. The bordering artwork (mostly done by adults) was done when the community held a celebration the next February to commemorate a year having passed since the flood.
