Airport Park is located 4 miles southwest of Vernonia off Timber Road, next to Vernonia Municipal Airport. The park is a primitive campground tucked in among old growth fir, maple and alder trees alongside the Nehalem River. The park is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature.

Amenities: 23 primitive campsites, picnic areas, group tent camping, fishing, handicapped accessible restrooms, and drinking water. Three of the primitive campsites are designated for handicapped individuals needing picnic tables, fire rings and grills that meet ADAAG standards. There is also designated parking and paths that are designed for ADA access. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
