BIO: Bob was elected Mayor of Bonney Lake, WA, in 1997, and served 2 terms, from 1998 to 2005. He was the acting City Administrator for 6 of those years. Following his term of office, he went back to Graduate School, graduating in December, 2008, with an MPA from the University of Washington. He began in June, 2009, as the Vernonia City Administrator.

Bob had been on the Planning Commission for several years prior to his election. He is a certified Mediator in Pierce County, Washington, as well as having been an EMT in both Montana and Washington. He was involved in establishing two EMS programs in rural cities in Montana and Eastern Washington. He taught Washington State Industrial First Aid in Central Washington for several years.

He has been a small business owner for 25 years, and is a licensed real estate agent as well as a licensed insurance agent. Currently his wife runs their property management business. For 15 years prior to being elected he served as a Police Chaplain in Pierce County, Washington, serving the City of Tacoma, Pierce County Sheriff, and the Washington State Patrol, and for several decades has been involved in religious non-profit organizations.

He was the President of the Pierce County Mayor’s Association for 4 years, as well as sitting on the Pierce County CDBG board. He was a member of the Pierce County Regional Council, the Economic Development Corporation of Pierce County, and a charter member of the Lake Tapps Task Force, a coalition of government and citizen groups that worked to save one of the largest recreation lakes in Washington. He also served for a session as the senior Legislative Assistant to his Senator.

Bob, and his wife, Connie, have three married children, and 6 grandchildren. He enjoys reading, computers, bicycling, and boating, and is in the process of restoring his second cabin cruiser. He and his wife of 41 years enjoy riding their recumbent bicycles together.

BIO: Nancy was born in Tillamook but lived in Ontario Oregon during her grade school years. High school years were spent in Newport. In 1988 Nancy moved to Vernonia. She enjoys reading, knitting, and traveling and camping with her husband Errold.

Nancy has 2 children and six grandchildren ranging in ages from 10 to 16. She is involved in the Vernonia Study Club, P.E.O. and Friends of the Library.

BIO: Joann grew up in Western Pennsylvania and moved to Oregon in 1976. Oregon has a climate similar to Western Pennsylvania without the really cold winters and high summer humidity.

Joann has 4 children, 2 of which live in Vernonia, and 5 grandchildren. She is involved with Friends of the Library and the Executive Jamboree Committee.
