CITY ADMINISTRATOR: Bill Haack - Interim Pro Tem PHONE: 503-429-5291 ext 102 EMAIL: bill@vernonia-or.gov BIO: Bill is the Interim City Administrator since mid June 2010. He has worked for over twenty years throughout the rural western United States providing technical assistance, training and access to resources that support economic development. In addition to supporting City Council and staff, Bill will focus his efforts to partner with the Vernonia School District, West Oregon Electric Cooperative, Vernonia Community Health Clinic board, and Vernonia Cares Food Bank to assist their rebuilding efforts out of the flood plain. Working with key City staff, City volunteer committee members and consultants, he intends to move the Wastewater facility redesign to RFQ quickly, see two critical street improvements through competitive funding applications, secure additional resources for the bicycle skills park expansion project, and carry out complex relationship building efforts with a myriad of funders needed to see the project mix through to completion. Bill is married to a wonderful person who reluctantly
lends him to the task at hand as it will give her a chance
to focus on her glass art creations - some of which will
occasionally be seen in Bill's office. |

High school years were spent in Newport. In 1988 Nancy moved to Vernonia. She enjoys reading, knitting, and traveling and camping with her husband Errold. Nancy has 2 children and six grandchildren ranging in ages from 10 to 16. She is involved in the Vernonia Study Club, P.E.O. and Friends of the Library. |

Oregon has a climate similar to Western Pennsylvania without the really cold winters and high summer humidity. Joann has 4 children, 2 of which live in Vernonia, and 5 grandchildren. She is involved with Friends of the Library and the Executive Jamboree Committee. |
